  • Sai Shankar M

    Sai Shankar holds an undergraduate degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Rajalakshmi Engineering College. His areas of interest include Embedded Systems, Renewable energy and Micro-grids. He is currently a part of the Smart Energy group working on designing low cost and optimized micro-grids. He has one publication titled “Intelligent System Design Optimization with Dynamic Load Profile for Rural Indian Microgrids” accepted by the IEEE Texas Power and Energy Conference (TPEC) 2018 held at Texas A&M University, Texas. He has presented a paper on “Integrating Irrigation Pumps with Rural Microgrids” at IEEE Global Humanitarian Technology Conference conducted at San Hose, CA. He is leading the Smart Energy group which has recently submitted a paper titled “Efficiency-Cost Design Optimization for a Stand-Alone Rural Microgrids” at IEEE Power and Energy conference at Illinois which is to be held at University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. His team is currently working on “Intelligent Load Management System”. He intends to pursue his Masters abroad in Computer engineering in the fall of 2019.


  • Syed Shahbaaz Ahmed

    Shahbaaz holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics from Anna University. His interests include Embedded Systems, Machine Learning, IoT and Reconfigurable Computing. He has 2 IEEE publications titled “Low-cost Non-Intrusive Device Identification System” which was presented at Dallas Circuits and Systems Confernce (DCAS) 2016 and “Current peak based device classification in NILM on a low-cost embedded platform using extra-trees“ which was presented at MIT undergraduate Research Technology Conference (MIT URTC) 2017. His latest research work on the application of Machine learning to Load Forecasting titled “A Two-Fold Machine Learning Approach for Efficient Day-Ahead Load Prediction at Hourly Granularity for NYC”, where he led his team, has now been accepted at Future of Information and Communication Conference (FICC 2019), San Fransisco. His current research is at the intersection of Internet of Things (IoT) and ML, where he is leading a team of three. Finally, he plans to pursue his Master’s degree abroad commencing in the fall of 2019.


  • Abishek Coimbatore Sridhar

    Abishek holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Easwari Engineering College. His areas of interest include Embedded Systems, Renewable energy and Micro-grids. He is currently a part of the Smart Energy group working on microgrid clusters and demand side management. He has presented a paper on “Integrating Irrigation Pumps with Rural Microgrids” at IEEE Global Humanitarian Technology Conference conducted at San Hose, CA. He is part of the Smart Energy group which has recently submitted a paper titled “Efficiency-Cost Design Optimization for a Stand-Alone Rural Microgrids” at IEEE Power and Energy conference at Illinois which is to be held at University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign. His team is currently working on “Intelligent Load Management System”. He intends to pursue his Masters abroad in Computer Engineering in the fall of 2019.

  • Adithya Ganesan V

    Adithya Ganesan V is a final year undergraduate student currently pursuing bachelor’s in computer science and engineering in Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College Of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. His previous work in Activity Recognition was presented at the Future of Information and Communication Conference, Singapore, April 2018 and will be published in the Springer series : Advances in Intelligent Systems and Computing. He then lead a team of 3 other UGRAs working in collaboration with one of the top multiplexes to predict the food sale and model user behaviour. The findings of this work will be presented at the Future of Information and Communication Conference, San Francisco, March 2019 and will be published in the Springer series: Lecture Notes in Networks and Systems. His work on proposing a generic framework for forecasting complex Time series data was submitted to AAAI 2019 and is planning to submit this work to IWANN, Spain after incorporating the suggested changes. He is right now working on Machine Learning on Edge devices. His areas of interest include Machine Learning, Data Science specifically in Time series & User Behavioral modelling, IoT systems and algorithms. He plans to do his masters commencing fall 2019.


  • Aswin Gopikanna

    Aswin Gopikanna is a final year undergraduate student, pursuing Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Rajalakshmi Engineering College, Chennai. He currently has two publications titled, “Intelligent System Design Optimization with Dynamic Load Profile for Rural Indian Microgrids” presented at the IEEE Texas Power and Energy Conference (TPEC) 2018 ,Texas A&M University, TX and “Integrating Irrigation Pumps with Rural Microgrids” presented at IEEE Global Humanitarian Technology Conference, San Jose, CA. He is also the co-author of a paper, “Efficiency-Cost Design Optimization for a Stand-alone Rural Microgrid” which is submitted for acceptance at the Power and Energy Conference, Illionois at University of Illionois, Urbana-Champaign, IL, where he and his team worked on solving a multivariable optimization problem to maximize the utilization of energy resources He is currently working on Demand Side Management in microgrids using Machine Learning. He intends to pursue his Masters abroad in Computer Engineering in the fall of 2019.


  • Sharan Sundar

    Sharan is a final Year Undergraduate student, pursuing Computer Science and Engineering at SSN College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. He is a part of Machine Learning group at Sollarillion Foundation currently working on Automatic short answer grading systems. He has a publication titled 'Convolutional Long Short-term Neural Networks for Hierarchical Species Prediction' presented at Conference and labs of the Evaluation Forum (CLEF 2018), Avignon, France and his other work 'A Machine-Learning approach to Occupancy Forecasting using Feature Tuning' is under review at the SIAM International Conference on Data Mining (SDM19), Alberta, Canada. He is also a part of a work proposing a generic deep network framework for time series analysis,which was initially submitted to Advancement in Artificial Intelligence (AAAI 2019). Based on the positive reviews of which, he is currently working to submit the paper to International Work-Conference on Neural Networks (IWANN), Gran Canaria, Spain 2019. His areas of interest are Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence and Reinfrocement Learning. He intends to pursue his Masters in the fall of 2019.


  • Manav Rajiv Moorthy

    Manav is a 4th Year Undergraduate Student pursuing Computer Science and Engineering at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. He is a part of IoT & DL research group at Sollarillion Foundation. He worked with a team of 4 on Human Activity Recognition and presented a paper called 'HARNet: Towards On-Device Incremental Learning using Deep Ensembles on Constrained Devices' in EMDL’18: 2nd International Workshop on Embedded and Mobile Deep Learning at 16th ACM International Conference on Mobile Systems, Applications, and Services held on June 2018. He is currently working on Machine Learning on Edge Devices. His areas of research include Deep Learning and Computer Vision. He plans to do his masters by the fall of 2019.


  • Sundararaman Venkataramani

    Sundararaman is a 4th Year Undergraduate Student pursuing Computer Science Engineering at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. His areas of research include IoT, Machine Learning and Algorithms. He is a part of Machine Learning group at Sollarillion Foundation currently working in movie occupancy prediction. He interned with Goldman Sachs during summer 2018 and is now offered a full time job there starting from summer 2019 in Banglore campus.

    Nithish is a final Year Undergraduate student, pursuing Computer Science and Engineering at SSN College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai.   • R Nidhi Bhandari

    Nidhi is a 4th-year undergraduate student pursuing Computer Science Engineering at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. Her primary area of interest Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing.   • Siddharth Divi

    Siddharth is a final year Undergraduate student, pursuing Computer Science and Engineering at SSN College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai.   • Gokul Hari

    Gokul H is a final year undergraduate pursuing his Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at SSN College of Engineering. His field of research is Embedded systems and IOT. His current research work is on Gesture recognition based on Machine Learning. He intends to pursue his Master's in Fall 2020.


  • Prithvi Suresh

    Prithvi is a 3rd year undergraduate student, pursuing Electronics and Communication Engineering at SRM University, Kattankulathur. His areas of research interests include embedded systems/IoT and Machine Learning. He is currently a part of the IoT and Embedded Systems research group and is working towards finding machine learning solutions for embedded sytems/Iot problems. He intends to pursue his Master’s abroad in the fall of 2020.

    Sai Vishwanath Venkatesh is a 3rd-year undergraduate student, pursuing his bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering at SRM University, Kattankulathur. He is currently part of a Machine Learning Team working on predicting the Lifetime of movies. His areas of interest are Data Science, Analytics and Algorithms. He intends to do his Master's abroad in the fall of 2020.


  • Abhijith Ragav

    Abhijith Ragav is a 3rd year student currently pursuing his Bachelors in Information Technology at SRM Institute of Science and Technology. He is currently a part of the ML team which predicts the approximate Movie Lifetime in collaboration with one of the top multiplexes in India . His area of interests include Algorithms, Data Science, Machine Learning and IoT. He intends to pursue his Masters in the fall of 2020.

    Marjerie is a 3rd year undergraduate student pursuing Bachelors in Electronics and Communication Engineering at Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering.     Taruna is a third year undergraduate student pursuing Electronics and Communication Engineering at SSN College of Engineering, Anna University, Chennai. She is currently part of the Micro-Grids team at Solarillion foundation.


  • Janani Jayaram

He is currently part of a Machine Learning Team working on predicting the Lifetime of movies. His areas of interest are Machine Learning and Deep Learning With IOT. He intends to do his Doctorate abroad in the fall of 2020.


  • Vishaal Prabhakar

    Vishaal Prabhakar holds a bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics engineering from Anna University, Chennai. His area of interests include machine learning and natural language processing. He is currently working on a project in machine learning involving datasets from Bureau of Transportation Statistics USA, and is a part of the machine learning team. He intends to pursue his masters in the fall of 2019.
